{"id":24515,"date":"2021-01-27T11:18:58","date_gmt":"2021-01-27T02:18:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ryuka.com\/en\/?page_id=24515"},"modified":"2025-10-13T20:08:03","modified_gmt":"2025-10-13T11:08:03","slug":"hague","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ryuka.com\/en\/design_note\/hague\/","title":{"rendered":"Hague International Design Application"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"interior_hague\" class=\"pb-5 pt-5\">\r\n<!-- <h2 class=\"serif title text-center\">Overview of the Hague International Design Application<\/h2> -->\r\n<p class=\"mb-5\"><br>\r\n\tJapan can be designated in the international application.<br>\r\nAfter the international publication, the applicant can take procedures to the JPO.<br>\r\nExcept for the appeal procedure, all documents must be submitted via postal mail.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h3>Priority Certificate<\/h3>\r\n<p class=\"mb-5\">\r\n\tIf priority is claimed at the time of international filing, a priority certificate must be submitted to the JPO within three months after the international publication.<br>\r\nIf the international registration date is on or after January 1, 2020, it is possible to omit the submission of the priority certificate by indicating access code in DM1.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h3>Exceptions to Lack of Novelty<\/h3>\r\n<p class=\"mb-5\">\r\n\tIf an applicant has applied for an exception to lack of novelty, an applicant must submit support documents to the JPO within 30 days of the international publication. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<h3>Response to Provisional Rejection<\/h3>\r\n<p class=\"mb-5\">\r\n\tThe response period is three months from the issue date of the notification.
