Work Experience

From 1993 until 2001, Mr. Akashi worked as a multiprocessor R&D researcher for the Central Research Laboratory of Hitachi Ltd., focusing on information technology, particularly processor and chipset architecture. While there, in 1996 he designed the world’s fastest (at the time) massively parallel supercomputer, and he also designed the Intel Itanium (TM) processor server.

Mr. Akashi joined RYUKA IP Law Firm in 2001. Recent work in 2012 includes representing a large US client in nullity trials before the Japan IP High Court and Supreme Court, together with colleagues Mr. Ryuka and Mr. Takata and in cooperation with Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu.
